Christian Medical College Vellore was established in the year 1942 and is maintained by the Christian Medical College Vellore Association. It is an unaided Christian minority, educational institution admitting students on merit on an all-India basis. With 1528 doctors and 2400 nurses, CMC Vellore has 67 wards and 92 clinics.
